Party Congress: Design Contest

The African People.s Socialist Party is calling for design submissions for a brand identity package, including:

• a logo
• poster,
• invitation

for our 5th Congress, to be held July 10-14, 2010 in Washington, D.C.

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, February 3rd 2010.

If your design is used in pr, you will receive your choice of $100 worth of publications available from Burning Spear Publications (including selections of Uhuru Movement T-shirts, DVDs, CDs, subscriptions to Uhuru Radio and The Burning Spear Newspaper). You will be credited and thanked in the Congress program. If you are a professional designer, you can also have a graphical ad for your business posted on the UhuruNews.com website for the remainder of 2010.

Both the logo and the poster should include the African liberation colors of Red, Black and Green and the text:

African People's Socialist Party 5th Congress
July 10 - 14, 2010 in Washington, D.C.
"One People, One Party, One Destiny"

(The quote is the theme of the Conference)

The logo needs to also work well in black ink only, for purposes of letterhead, etc.

Imagery should project the concept of a new day. Suggested visuals include:

• Silhouetted Africans moving forward on the horizon in front of a rising sun
• Outline of the African continent
