“This is Our Era!” Statement from APSP-USA Secretary General on the Party’s upcoming Seventh Congress!

Our Party and Chairman Omali Yeshitela have guided the African Revolution for the past fifty years. Chairman Yeshitela has brought African people into the world arena as one of the first colonial nations to have successfully united, under one banner,  an international liberation movement.

He has won, through practice and theory, the building dual and contending power concept throughout the various continents where we are dispersed.

Thus, the Party is approaching the process of defeating this colonialist/capitalist system as the Vanguard fighter who is knocking down the neocolonialism of western imperialism, the imperialist white ruling class and international bourgeois State.

Our magnificent economic and political victories over imperialist’ colonialism by the African Internationalist Revolution are reverberating around the world.

The African working class and the African Nation, led by its own Party, the African People’s Socialist Party, are bringing the most active cadre and fighters side by side with other colonized nations to the process of historic change now taking place which is causing the deepening of the crisis of imperialism around the world.

The achievements recorded in the Chairman’s Seventh Congress Political Report over the past almost fifty years are the foundation of the progress of the world Revolution in this new era; the magnificent victory of the African slaves of Ayiti (Haiti) over the French-British-American colonialist coalition; the world-wide unity of millions of Africans  organized by the Marcus Garvey Movement; with the splendid political and ideological success of the Black Power Movement of the 1960s; The Kenya Land and Freedom Army, Zimbabwe African National Union, The Black Panther Party, The Students Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, The New Jewel Movement of Grenada, Junta of Militant Organizations (JOMO), and The African People’s Socialist Party and the powerful African Socialist International Liberation Movement.

Through attaining those glorious achievements, our Party and people have had to face countless hardships and trials.

Under the Party’s banner, many cadres and Party members, civilians and fighters have laid down their lives, displaying the heroic spirit of the African Vanguard and the African Nation, winning  boundless loyalty to our motherland Africa and to an ever-victorious African Internationalism!

Those examples of heroism will live forever with our people, our Party, with the present generation and all generations to come.

The colonialists having conquered our Africa; we lost our independence, freedom, our right to live and even our national culture, which had taken shape in the course of the hundred thousands of years of our history.

To drive out the imperialist aggressors, liberate the nation, win back independence and freedom for Africa, bring the people a decent standard of living and happiness and restore the culture and values of the African people are the deepest aspirations of the African Internationalist.

My African people, I want to make a call to all of you to start making plans to attend The Seventh Congress of the African People’s Socialist Party happening on October 6 through 12 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Our mama Africa and our children need for us to attend the Seventh Congress of the African People’s Socialist Party.

This is our era and this is our day for us to take up the mantle of our martyrs and bring about the Revolution of the African working class which will end all forms of oppression in the world!

The Seventh Congress of the African People’s Socialist Party is not an event─it’s the opening ceremony of the funeral to white power imperialism!

The Seventh Congress is the most important time for African people since the Marcus Garvey UNIA Convention of the 1920s.
